About Rachel, Founder, Noted + Co.

My name is Rachel and I am the founder of Noted and Company. I am the mother of two children and one puppy. I am a wife. I cook out of love for my family, but not for a love of cooking. I am a haphazard gardener who figures at $2 a seed packet almost everything deserves a chance in soil. I am a child of the Midwest and a lover of big cities who’s found home in a little, hidden gem at the base of the Rockies.

I began Noted and Company as a love letter to my kids.

With technology literally at their fingertips, I hope they’ll also know the value and joy of the handwritten. I want them to know the pleasure of crossing lines off a paper grocery list while rolling through the store; of leaving little notes for loved ones around the house; of journaling; of knowing someone else’s handwriting; and of writing and receiving notes and letters.

I am not a lifelong letter writer or a nightly journaler, but I aspire to both. I don’t keep every written correspondence I’m given, but treasure the quirky and personal: my British grandmother’s recipe cards, the birthday card in Spanish (not our native language) my toddler son picked out for Mother’s Day, and the paper receipt from the purchase of my husband’s wedding ring. They are the random choices, none contain long missives of love and devotion, they weren’t created out of obligation and most contain the scratchy scrawl of a child. These little dispatches are treasures.

It is my hope that Noted+Co. fosters love and connection for both writer and receiver.
